The Works

Lo’s latest album ‘The Works’ is the result of soul-searching. The journey within, maturation.

There are universal archetypes to be found within all cultures. People from whom we can learn, both positively and negatively.

Producer, songwriter an guitarist Patrick initially presented Lo with some impressive song ideas, which they then refined along with their ‘True Friends’ Eric van de Bovenkamp, Paddy van Rijswijk and Mark Stoop. The project was later embellished by Steffen de Wolff, Rutger Zuydervelt, Udo Pannekeet, Paul Pouwer, Tom Beek, Jan van Duikeren, Arjan Muusz, Martijn Sohier, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Tollak Ollestad, Sandra Sahupala, Age Kat, Dri3man, Raquel Brown, Patty Gaddum and Desray. This is the epic result of that journey!

“I believe life treats everyone equally in the end and there is beauty to be found in this notion. Love and hate, happiness and pain, life and death, attraction and rejection, trust and fear, to lead or to follow… Making choices’’

We hope every listener can identify herself or himself with the situations and emotions described in these beautifully crafted songs. Like “True Friends”, we made an album without any commercial starting point. We recorded what we wanted to share with the world, musically and lyrically speaking. This is how Patrick and our True Friends feel music should sound like: All natural, transparant, handcrafted, with the utmost dedication.

Award winning visual artist René Dissel made an image for each song, as well as the photography and artwork for the entire album.
